Ian Bamford – Chief Quality and Curriculum Officer at Knovia and AELP Vice Chair.
Ian is an accomplished leader in the Further Education and Skills sector, bringing over 25 years of experience in a range of roles across esteemed organizations, including independent training providers and further education colleges. He currently serves as the Chief Quality and Curriculum Officer at Knovia, a national group of training providers, following eight-years as Chief Operating Officer.
With more than 20 years as a practicing Ofsted Inspector, Ian has conducted over 125 inspections across diverse remits, including recent monitoring visits to new providers. His extensive hands-on experience has given him a deep understanding of the inspection framework and the significant impact Ofsted has on the sector.
In addition, Ian holds a prominent role within the sector as the Vice Chair of the AELP Board and the Chair of the AELP Quality Board Group, where he continues to contribute his expertise to drive quality and innovation in education and training.
