Professor Green instigates programmes reaching thousands of employees each year, making certain that students are noticed without following set academic pathways. Being at the forefront of apprenticeships with the University of Lincoln gained Sharon national recognition as a civic educational leader and Professor of Vocational Education and Skills Development. As Dean of Executive Education and Skills, she leads the strategic development, operational oversight and delivery of the university’s executive education, apprenticeship, and skills portfolio.
She was awarded a Principal Fellowship in 2019 and a National Teaching Fellowship in 2023 in recognition of her sustained record of effective strategic leadership in apprenticeships practice and as a passionate advocate for inclusion, access, and participation. Prior to joining the University of Lincoln, Sharon held senior technical roles within the food industry.
Sharon is passionate about raising aspirations to transform peoples’ lives by creating opportunities that progress careers and fulfil individual potential through the power of vocational education.
