Jason Holt CBE

Jason Holt CBE is the founder of a number of ventures spanning the education, technology and luxury sectors, as well as being actively involved in policy-making in apprenticeships and technical education.

In 2021, Holt co-founded the Association of Apprentices, an institution dedicated to providing invaluable support and representation for apprentices across the UK. He also authored the Holt Review in 2012, which provided recommendations to HM Government on how to engage more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in apprenticeships.

A pioneer in embracing the potential of virtual immersive work simulation for learning, Holt founded Holition, a groundbreaking creative digital agency specialising in crafting immersive experiences through cutting-edge technologies like VR and AR. Complimenting this endeavour, he co-founded Metaverse Learning, an award winning Ed Tech scale-up delivering a comprehensive library of mixed reality programs across various technical domains. Holt’s work has also manifested in the co-creation of Metaverse Hub, a dynamic platform which enables sectors to attract talent through immersive gamification. These businesses seek to address the future need to change assessment and next-generation education to scale delivery of workforce skills.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Holt has been entrusted by His Majesty’s Government and successive skills ministers since 2012 to be their advisor on developing and growing the apprenticeship programme. His leadership roles include chairing the Government’s Apprenticeship Stakeholder Board and Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, and latterly UCAS’s Apprenticeship Stakeholder Group.

Holt is deeply committed to leveraging technology as a catalyst for transformation in education and workforce development, working with partners to drive innovation to improve the educational experience for learners and employers.
