Terms and conditions

Awards terms and conditions

These terms apply to everyone who enters the Apprenticeship and Training Awards 2027. Please read them carefully before submitting a nomination.

Eligibility

The awards are open to UK-based employers, training providers and partnerships operating in the apprenticeship and training sector.

Entrants must operate primarily within the UK, with all nominated activities or programmes having a direct impact on the UK workforce.

Entries are welcomed from large and small organisations in the public, private and third sectors.

Nominations for the Special Recognition Award can only be made for individuals who have made a significant national contribution to the UK apprenticeship and training sector.

Entry submission

All entries must be submitted online via the official Apprenticeship and Training Awards website.

The deadline for submissions is 23:59 on 30 October 2026. Late entries will not be accepted. The organisers reserve the right to extend the deadline without notice.

Each category requires a separate nomination form. You may enter multiple categories, provided each entry meets the specific criteria.

All information provided in the entry form must be accurate and truthful to the best of the entrant's knowledge.

Confidentiality

All submitted information will be treated as confidential during the judging process. If your nomination is shortlisted or selected as a winner, the organisers reserve the right to use the information provided for promotional purposes, including features in FE Week, Schools Week and other media, on social media and on the official awards website.

By submitting an entry, you consent to the use of your organisation's details, achievements and associated materials for promotional activities if shortlisted or awarded.

Judging process

A panel of independent judges, drawn from experts across the apprenticeship and training sector, will assess each entry.

Judges will evaluate entries against the criteria for each category, considering factors such as innovation, impact and leadership.

The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

Disqualification

Entries may be disqualified if they do not meet the eligibility criteria, are incomplete or are found to contain false information.

Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered for judging.

Awards announcement

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by email on 2 December 2026. National finalists will be announced publicly in FE Week on 3 December 2026.

Winners will be announced at the Apprenticeship and Training Awards evening on Tuesday 2 March 2027, during the Apprenticeships and Training Conference 2027.

Use of material

By submitting an entry, you agree that the organisers may use your organisation's name and logo to promote the awards, including in press releases, on social media and on the official awards website.

The organisers may also request interviews, testimonials or further details from shortlisted and winning organisations for promotional purposes.
