Jon has been Amey’s Apprenticeship Manager since March 2022.
Following a 24 year military career, culminating in MoD and NATO staff work. Jon started his second career in the L&D/Talent space as a trainer/designer/associate in a number of sectors.
Jon currently manages Amey’s apprenticeship levy, apprentice enrolments and contracts for over 70 apprenticeship training providers and stakeholders in support of over 500 apprentices, across all the nations of the UK.
Prior to arriving in Amey, Jon worked in the public sector as an apprenticeship advisor where he managed apprenticeship programmes and procurement activities for a County Council.
In June 2026 Jon undertook the role as co-chair of the Advisory Panel (Employers) within the Association of Apprentices.
In June 20206 Amey was awarded The Worshipful Company of HR Professionals, HR Excellence Award, in recognition of the commitment to levy transfer in excess of £1M, that Jon instigated in 2023 to enhance Social Mobility and inclusion in the areas that Amey operates.
