Jon joined The 5 % Club in October as the Head of Operations & Project Management Office following 4 ½ years as Apprenticeship Manager at Amey.
Following a 24 year military career, culminating in MoD and NATO staff work. Jon started his second career in the L&D/Talent space as a trainer/designer/associate in a number of sectors.
At Amey Jon managed their apprenticeship levy, apprentice enrolments and contracts for over 70 apprenticeship training providers and stakeholders in support of over 500 apprentices, across all the nations of the UK. During his tenure at Amey, Jon was also appointed as Co-Chair to the Advisory Panel at the Association of Apprentices
In June 2026 Amey was awarded The Worshipful Company of HR Professionals, HR Excellence Award, in recognition of the commitment to levy transfer in excess of £1M, that Jon instigated in 2023 to enhance Social Mobility and Inclusion in the areas that Amey operates.
